60 seconds with Tally Rye from GirlGains

What started off as a social media movement aimed at empowering women to become fitter, healthier and happier, has since developed into a fully fledged fitness community. Talitha Rye is one of three women behind the 27,000-strong Insta success that is Girl Gains. On the eve of International Women’s Day, I catch up with her to talk about girl boss inspiration, Ariana Grande and why you’ll never catch her drinking skinny tea.


First thing I do when I wake up: Jump in the shower to wake up!

The quickest way to a flat stomach is: When I’m bloated, I love peppermint tea as a natural way to de-bloat and calm my gut.

One wellness trend you’ll never see me try: A Teatox/ skinny tea – if only it was that simple, right? 

Day or night? Day.

If I didn’t work in the fitness industry, I’d be: An actress, hopefully in the West End.

I never make a smoothie without adding: Unsweetened almond milk – it’s my favourite!

The last time I cried was: Watching ‘The Help’ last weekend.

The motto I live by: Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard.

Failsafe hangover cure: A big bowl of oats.

Can’t live without: My iPhone.

The woman who inspires me most is is: Claire Finlay from Transition Zone is a true #GirlBoss and a huge inspiration for us, as we would love to be in her position one day! On top of everything else she does, her level of organization is second to none.
