A healthy, balanced diet should give you all the protein you need (as a rough guide aim for 0.8g for each kilo you weigh) but if you’re time poor, hungry post-workout or need to replenish energy levels fast, a protein shake can be an excellent solution. This recipe can easily be rustled up in a blender/ magic bullet, contains just 5 ingredients and tastes like Terry’s Chocolate Orange. Ingredients / serves 1 / vegan:
150 ml plant milk (I used coconut)
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp chia seeds
1-2 tsp chocolate protein powder (I like Zaggora’s * Chocolate Orange Protein Super Smoothie*)
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy asap. *Contains antioxidants, fibre, probiotics, vitamins and healthy omega fats.
